Gilty as Charged: Cubs to Rock Gold Uniforms for First Two Home Games
The Cubs will be wearing gold-trimmed jerseys and hats for the first two homes games of the season (buy ’em right here), the team announced Friday afternoon. As you no doubt already know, those are the games prior to which the team will be raising the World Series banner and handing out the championship rings.
Yes, the Cubs won the World Series. People forget that.
We’re rocking gold April 10 and 12.

Leave it to the inimitable Randall Sanders to put together a mock-up of the full uniforms, complete with a little MLB-mandated parachute on the hat meant to slow the Cubs down and give other teams a chance.
Based on the video @Cubs posted, here's a good look at what those gold-trimmed jerseys look like in full. pic.twitter.com/ALK5TQ4112

I can’t help but imagine Kris Bryant walking up to Anthony Rizzo, both bedazzled in their gilded gear, and saying: “Stay gold, Tony Boy.”
