Watch: Ian Happ Passes Kris Bryant on Cubs’ All-Time Home Run List

Ian Happ made history on Saturday afternoon, hitting his second home run of the day. Happ has now gone deep in three straight games, with eight home runs in his last 15 games.

He led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run, giving the Cubs an early 1-0 lead.

Happ’s 161st home run in a Cubs uniform came in the second inning. This officially puts him above Kris Bryant for home runs as a Cub.

He’s 15th all-time as a Cub, only 13 below Andre Dawson. Happ only needs 38 more home runs to be top-10, a legitimate possibility by the end of next season. It’s yet more proof that he’s one of the most underrated Cubs ever.
