Kevin Alcántara Undergoes Core Muscle Surgery
The offseason may not be officially underway, but news is already emerging about various injuries from the season that need to be addressed. Cubs outfielder Kevin Alcántara recently underwent surgery, according to his Instagram story. Andy Martínez of Marquee Sports Network reports that it was core muscle surgery for the young outfielder.

Alcántara appeared in 10 games for the Cubs during the 2025 season, with a .364 average in his 12 plate appearances. He didn’t get any at-bats in the postseason.
