Details on John Baker Day 2026

Join former Cubs player, mental skills coordinator, and baseball folk hero, John Baker on the 12th anniversary of the longest game in Wrigley Field history, “The Night the Backup Catcher Got the Win,” as we reminisce about his Major League career, and hear about his new mental skills training program Intentional Performance,  as we raise money to launch the World Premier musical, “The Game.”

We threw the first John Baker Day10 years ago, and over the last decade, we’ve raised money for charities from women’s shelters to youth baseball organizations like Lost Boyz. This year, we are raising money for Danny Rockett’s baseball-backed musical “The Game,” produced by Chicago’s Trap Door Theater.

The John Baker Day Show will commence on Thursday, July 30th at 7pm Central on YouTube. Featuring John Baker and a cast of Cubs fan notables and friends. Plus music, games, prizes, raffles, and the John Baker Day auction, where John is auctioning 12 weeks of mental skills training sessions, and Danny Rockett is auctioning off his most prized Cubs memorabilia to raise money to launch “The Game.”
